TheraSpecs and Miles for Migraine Aim to Reduce Light Sensitivity at Education Day Events
PHOENIX, Ariz.—March 14, 2018—TheraSpecs® Company and Miles for Migraine are joining forces in their collective effort to improve the quality of life for people with migraine. Their unique collaboration will make TheraSpecs precision-tinted glasses more accessible for patients who attend Miles for Migraine events across the United States.
"Miles for Migraine is busy on the front lines raising awareness and advocating for research on this debilitating disease," said Annette Zinky, chief operating officer at TheraSpecs. "Our partnership enables us to enhance our support of the migraine community and leverage our strengths as a business in order to help patients feel better and get back to their lives."
Participants at Miles for Migraine "Education Day" workshops will be able to use TheraSpecs glasses throughout the event to protect against light-induced migraine attacks and photophobia. They will also be eligible to purchase their own pair of TheraSpecs at a discounted price.
"Our education awareness days are designed to provide participants with key information and access to resources that assist in their ongoing care—all in a safe environment that takes into account those external triggers to which many are sensitive," said Miles for Migraine Executive Director Shirley Kessel. "TheraSpecs glasses are a wonderful tool that can improve the experience of patients both at our events and beyond."
The Education Day series kicked off in San Francisco in February, with the next all-day workshop scheduled for Saturday, March 24th in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Click here for more information or to register.
TheraSpecs Company has previously sponsored Miles for Migraine’s acclaimed race series, which raises funds to support migraine research and awareness.
