TheraSpecs Have a Calming Effect for Jenna Around Bright Light
How do you spend your days?
I'm a stay-at-home mom with three kids. Most of my time is spent indoors at home or under bright and often fluorescent lights while shopping.
How does your light sensitivity impact your day-to-day life?
I will often get headaches and migraines because of my light sensitivity. I can also become irritable and overwhelmed.
What prompted you to try TheraSpecs?
I am mildly autistic and have many sensitivities including light sensitivity. I also have epilepsy and found that fluorescent lights and me do not go well together! After receiving a concussion 2 months ago my light sensitivity and headaches got even worse. I had joined an online group for support and many people there told me to try TheraSpecs!
Which style of TheraSpecs do you own? Why did you select that style?
Profile. I chose Profile because they were simple and I wasn't looking for anything flashy.
What else have you tried?
I've tried numerous medications for my headaches and migraines and also use to wear sunglasses at all times. I've also tried ice on my forehead and head, but nothing would work. I was very excited to hear about TheraSpecs! I just had to try them since nothing else was working!
How do TheraSpecs help you?
Immediately after putting on my TheraSpecs I feel more calm and relaxed. There's an instant improvement. I am no longer squinting in even dim light, and the bright lights while shopping don't seem to bother me anymore! I stay more calm at malls and in grocery stores, when before I would always feel pressure in my eyes and forehead, would often develop a headache, and would feel irritable, anxious and overwhelmed. I've also been wearing my indoor TheraSpecs outside and they help me there too! My eyes don't adjust well to bright lights, but I find they adjust perfectly with my TheraSpecs on!
Is there anything more you would like to share about your TheraSpecs experience?
I am VERY excited to have these glasses and feel much more at ease about going out in the bright sun and in bright stores! Every time I go out now I happily put on my glasses and know I won't be coming home with a pounding headache. Thanks!
