Choosing Your Best TheraSpecs Style (Part 4): Frame Fashion
Now that we have looked at frame protection and comfort, our latest post in the “Choosing Your Best TheraSpecs Style” blog series explores the frame fashion of TheraSpecs glasses. Whether or not something is “stylish” is going to depend heavily on a person’s individual tastes, but we can help inform some of your questions if you are torn between any of our frame options.
How many different styles of TheraSpecs are available?
Currently, we have 21 different TheraSpecs frame styles from which a customer can choose. Each one has been thoughtfully designed based on popular fashion frames and offers its own unique sense of style:
- Classic: An ultra-lightweight black frame with a vintage style
- Pilot: A classic aviator look with large, round lenses (available in 3 colors)
- Stella: A premium fashion frame with a tortoise finish, manufactured in Italy
- Haven: An understated, modern frame with wire-rimmed look for school or work, super lightweight (available in three arm colors)
- Keaton: Fun, rounded frame with a lot of personality (available in 2 color choices)
- Audrey: Elegant frame with a subtle cat-eye design and tortoise shell finish (available in 2 color choices)
- Hudson: A rounded frame that blends a sophisticated, versatile design (available in 2 color choices)
- Wrap: A sporty and highly-protective frame made of flexible nylon
- Petite Wrap: A smaller version of our adult Wrap, designed for kids, teens and adults with smaller faces
- Original WearOver: Fits over existing prescription eyewear with maximum side protection
- Tatum WearOver: Modern fitover frame with a modest shelf on top to pair with a wide variety of glasses
- Winslow: A trendy frame with acetate arms and metal rims (available in 2 color choices)
- Conrad: A sleek frame with stylish detailing on the arms and rectangular metal rims
- Quinn: Square frame with clean lines and rectangular lenses (available in 2 color choices)
- Betty: Super lightweight and modern cat-eye frame (available in 2 color choices)
- Mercer: Rectangular frame with aluminum temples, super lightweight (available in 4 color choices)
- Powell: Rounded TR-90 frame with stainless steel temples (available in 2 color choices)
- Vista: Squared-off frame with large lenses, made from acetate (available in 3 color choices)
- Osborn: A sleek, metal frame with a classic round shape and TR-90 temples (available in 2 color choices)
- Fremont: Premium titanium frame with an on-trend geometric design (available in 2 color choices)
- Lane: Unisex square frame designed for smaller faces (available in 2 color choices)

What are the most popular TheraSpecs styles for women? For men?
TheraSpecs have been designed as unisex frames, intended to appeal to both men and women. Our most popular frame styles across all customers—based on sales—are Haven, Original WearOver, and Classic. Amongst women, our Stella and Audrey frames rank highly among women as a result of their more feminine look and finish; the Pilot also performs well with women. Conversely, the sportier Wrap frame along with the Winslow, Mercer and Conrad styles do better with men. But we encourage you to select your own TheraSpecs style(s) based on what you can see yourself wearing, no matter what it is!
What if I don’t see a frame style I like?
We have you covered! We offer a send in your own frame option whereby we’ll fit a frame you already own with our lenses. Thus, the potential number of TheraSpecs frames are (nearly) limitless, including styles that we do not offer such as clip-ons, readers or other specialty frames. Do TheraSpecs lenses have alternative color options?
No. Our lenses have been precision tinted—based on decades of published research—to filter specific wavelengths of light along the color spectrum that are shown to be troublesome for people with migraine and other light sensitive conditions. As a result, this process gives them their trademarked “dusty rose” hue.
However, we can create either darker or lighter versions of our lenses (for example, extra-light indoor TheraSpecs specifically for night driving). This gives a slight alteration to the visible color of the lenses, but they are still targeting the same wavelengths. You can learn more at https://www.theraspecs.com/extra/.
