Exhibiting at the American Headache Society’s meeting last week was exciting and exhausting! It was the third AHS conference TheraSpecs has exhibited at. Each time, more and more doctors and nurses tell us stories of their patients who have found relief with TheraSpecs. It’s always gratifying to hear the specific ways TheraSpecs have helped people.

We even had some headache specialists tell us how much TheraSpecs helped them personally. One stopped by the booth during a migraine attack. She tried on a pair and felt the relief immediately. She wore them for a while before having to leave, then came back to put them on again because it felt so good to wear them.

It was also great to be able to educate new health care providers about TheraSpecs for the first time. The response was overwhelmingly positive and they were eager to add TheraSpecs to their toolkits for patients who have photophobia, light-triggered migraine attacks, or were sensitive to fluorescent lighting. Many told us that they were especially excited to have an effective, non-pharmaceutical option that won’t interact with medications or cause side effects or medication overuse (rebound) headaches.

And we got great feedback on our frame styles. Many hadn’t seen TheraSpecs in person since we only had the Wrap and Over-Rx styles, and we received many complements on the combination of style, protection, and comfort all our frames offered. The pediatric specialists were especially excited to see our new Junior style, and told us they could think of many patients who might benefit from them.

While the long hours and hassles of business travel are always draining, it energized the entire TheraSpecs crew to have so many great conversations with the doctors and nurses who specialize in headache and migraine.
